Photos & Publishing: Shideh Amerian

Thank you for joining us, can we have a short introduction of F.G 93.7.

Sure, thank you for your interview. Actually F.G 93.7 is one of the first & the best dance radio stations in Turkey. We plan about 50 events per year & some of them are large events as the Global gathering & Electronica festival. So this is the way of promoting our radio station & also gaining the trust of our sponsors. Regarding these activities we constructed another radio named "Lounge 102" that is a down-tempo radio & also planning events related to this station. The difference is the themes that are in a luxury style & with a fashion of high-end life style. The music is slower & the people are much famous in glamour. As you know we are a company with small number of people doing lots of things regarding our love in the job. We all have high education in different subjects, but prefer to work in this job.
We see lots of upgrades in the events you plan, do you have an aim, on new futures or you think you gained what you were looking for?

We always look for better futures. Actually the Global gathering is a chance for us with its amazing organization so we always try to learn new things from the planners. But the good thing is, some times they learn new things from us, such as new visions of music & audience tastes, that is a local vision & you can see the same at the other countries who plan the Global gatherings, such as; Russia, who are upgrading very fast. But the main point is the origin festival owners prefer to let the job be done by its own local planers who are more familiar to its socially local habits.

We were wondering about the primary difficulties you may have, especially on the way of planning events. Do you think you are fighting with solid problems making the best of it?

Well, yes we do have problems with our government who has tight laws of avoiding loud noise & sound. That’s why we can only make it possible out county. The second major problem is the Sponsors who don’t have much vision as other European countries, where sponsorship is a part of their incomes.

As you know our main audience is Iranians, can we ask you how much you heard about Iranian Electronic music & its related activities?

Well I didn’t have the chance knowing directly from professional music activities in Iran, but I have some Iranian friends living in Cyprus, having good relations with them. & I heard much from them that what’s going on in your country specially the underground parties & its problems you're involved with.

You have a powerful line up of famous DJs every year, so do you think F.G made the dream come through for its Turkish fans?

Of course the lineups will be perfect for our reputation, but for myself, I’m not so excited showing people the names that they know & take it as a commercial activity. I want my audience to learn new things such as new styles & new music. I believe in different sounds such as "Motor's" last year performance, where the people first got shocked of their style, but after a while got used to it. So as a radio you have the task delivering people new updates.

Finally, do you have any messages for our readers?

Sure, thank you for your support & the interview you set. You can listen to our radio, F.G-93.7. Wish you the best.

Thanks for your time & hope to see you soon.
